Granted - this was the first game of the season and we played poorly. But to my eye, the most complete players are both PF's. Davis looked great and Donnie certainly has the ability to be a dominant offensive and defensive player.

Are there any crazy lineups that would allow us to have Davis and Freeman on the floor together as much as possible? Any chance JJ could start at the 1? If so, who plays the 2? Can either Davis or Donnie play bulk minutes at the 3 or the 5? I can think of a few lineups but they all tend to create major problems on defense (e.g. moving Bell to the 2).

You'll see them on the floor together, but at the 4 and 5 and at the expense of the center group.

I am intrigued by this lineup:
JJ
Bell
Freeman
Davis
Lampkin

Ball movement would be a problem on offense, but I gotta think that lineup would really score some points. Defense would be a major issue as well unless...yeah I'll say it...we start running more zone.

If Starling runs point for any length of time. We’re in deep trouble. On his career he has mote tos than assists.

Could be interesting. I think moving it around with JJ Davis and Lampkin would work. Moving freeman and bell around off ball. I know JJ and Bell would need to tighten up on D

im hoping westry can play PG...i dont really think JJ can.

from what ive seen so far the 5 best players are: davis, freeman, bell, jj and lampkin...but that lineup would probably struggle defensively and miss the lack of PG play, though

Change Lampkin for Naheem and I actually think that'd be an effective zone D team.

I think of Davis as our primary backup at both forwards. When Bell gets a rest, Davis and Freeman will be out there together.

I hope Freeman didn't get stuck at center too often, his timing on help defense was miserable.

What guards are JJ and Bell keeping in front of them? Justin Pugh?
