Temp... may change
Cleveland
1. Kentucky
2. Wisconsin
3. Notre Dame
4. West Virginia
5. Louisville
Syracuse
1. Villanova
2. Gonzaga
3. Iowa St
4. UNC
5. Arkansas
Houston
1. Duke
2. Kansas
3. Maryland
4. Oklahoma
5. SMU
Los Angeles
1. Virginia
2. Arizona
3. Baylor
4. Northern Iowa
5. Butler
Notes:
- In terms of # 1 seeds I am still not sure about Virginia or Wisconsin. Some speculate that the committee may keep Wisconsin at #2 no matter what because they play late. I doubt that -- they will have a contingency.
- Yes, the Cleveland Region is loaded. But the fact is the committee will put the closest team where possible. They don't try to balance within teams of the same seed -- they view a 2 seed as a 2 seed. So if Wisky is a 2 it's almost certainly going to play in tjeor/
If I put Wisky ahead of Virginia, Virginia would move to Syracuse, Kansas would move to Cleveland, and Gonzaga would move to Houston.
Last 5 Teams In
Purdue
Texas
Boise St
UConn
Tulsa
Last 4 Teams out
Ole Miss
BYU
Old Dominion
Illinois
Notes:
Most have OLe Miss and BYU in but I do not. BYU was 3-4 vs top 100 (1-4 vs top 50), They have 3 bad losses as well.
Texas has 0 bad losses. Its top 50 record is awful (3-12), but
While Ole Miss is 3-6 vs top 50, and 9-9 vs top 100, they already had 4 bad losses.
I added Tulsa and UConn due to a lack of bad losses on their resme. I really want to change my mind on UConn. UConn has 13 losses which is high, but only one is sub #100. And they now have 6 top 50 wins as well.
Thoughts... I do want to convince myself to drop UConn!!!
