Thanks to Mark and the group for creating a special time to wish my son a Happy Birthday. He had a great day. The only concern was late in the 4th quarter of the game, he became very concerned.  With the game slipping away I could sense him beginning to lose it. He gets very invested in these games (for an 11 year old), and I was getting very concerned about him. He's gone all in on SU (even got an SU backpack for school this year). Luckily we pulled out the W. He understands "you win some you lose some," but not to an FCS school...  So in the end he feels like he had a great Birthday.

In full disclosure, it was my Mother that chimed in about raising funds as well as awareness through the Ice Bucket Challenge. (I had no idea she was going to do that, BTW.)  I know Tom and many others have donated as part of taking the challenge, so thanks again for the support!  My Mother has lost two siblings to ALS, so it does hit close to home for us.

It was great to get together again to kick off another football season. Here's hoping we get more W's, and in more convincing fashion!
