UAB is dangerous. Watched their confernce tourney last week and was impressed with them. Didn't realize team is mainly fresh/soph's plus their coach is former Kansas player Jerod Hause. If they continue to play well in the next year or two he will be gone.

It's hard for any conference to live up to something like 4 top 3 seeds.

We remember it in the Big East (post 2007) -- while the Big East would typically get one team in the final four, the rest of the pack would typically play under its seed - thanks largely to Notre Dame, Pitt, and Georgeotwn.

My favorite memory of Jerrod Haase was him bricking shot after shot when we played Kansas in the 1996 elite eight, winning to advance to the final four. Hause couldn't hit the broad side of a barn that day [and he was a pretty good player]. I think he might have been 0-10 or something from the field that day.
