I came across some interesting stuff looking for some highlights from that 1964 game. Here's a gamer who has played playoffs of historical NCAA football seasons to give u s look at what they might have bene like. He does 4 team playoffs before there was a 4 team playoff and 8 teams playoffs for the years after that. he's got 1964 but we aren't in it. He hasn't done 1959, which may be a good thing. That Mississippi team was a heck of a team, too.

And here's a clip form a Notre Dame highlight film from 1959 featuring a kinoscope of the actual TV broadcast of the USC game that year, with commentary added later by the legendary Harry Wismer, complete with a fan running around the field and showing more moves than any of the players. If Kevin Harlan had been doing this game, he would have said "The guy is drunk but there he goes!" Good fun!
