Jim Boeheim’s radio show is on Thursdays from 7-8 or 9PM on ESPN Radio in Syracuse, which is AM1200 or FM 97.7 on the dial. The show originates from the Cavalier Room at the Marriott in Downtown Syracuse. The first hour, hosted by Matt Park, the Voice of the Orange, is on their general network. The second hour, which begins with the conference season, is hosted by Gomez, a local radio personality.

You can call into the show locally at 315-424-8599 or nationally at 1-888-746-2873. For Gomez’s portion, use 315-424-8599. Or you can submit questions from this page:

Or on Twitter at mattpark1 or “askBoeheim”.

The show can be heard in Syracuse on FM 99.5. It’s sometime simulcast on AM 1200 or FM 97.7. You can also get it on: WGVA

I will be posting my rough transcript the night of the broadcast focusing on my questions, the team and their last and next games and then a second post the next day on other things that were discussed.

MY QUESTIONS/COMMENTS

1st Hour: ”Coach, congratulations on winning the only game ever between college basketball coaches with 1,000 victories and securing out 47th straight winning season in a classic for the ages against Duke. It’s often said that good coach will devise a way to take the other team’s best player out of the game. Grayson Allen was 2 for 11 from the field and scored only 8 points. Andrew White got only 4 shots off and scored 7 points. How did you stop Allen and how did they stop White? “

2nd Hour: “Coach, you’re 72 years old. Do games like the one last night make you feel older or do they make you feel younger? “

Related question for Jimmy - They were stopping White, so why did you not take him out for a few minutes and coach him on how to better get free or did you not have any suggestions on that point ?

did we take grayson allen away or was he just missing ? he had 11 looks. he just couldn't hit them.which is fine. as i posted below let allen shoot. tatum and kennard are the NBA guys.

A lot of those looks were very deep, probably a bit outside his comfort zone. That was coaching.

JB also said in the presser that they tried to go right at Allen in an attempt to get him to foul. Once he felt the weight of the foul trouble, I think that may have affected his shooting overall as well.

Too many mind...

Might want to ask a 2b given his comments to Dan Patrick.

Why would he take AW out? That would put their best defender Jones on one of our two guys that were doing all our scoring- Battle and Gillon

according to the duke board, allen was/is injured.

Coach, you didn't call a timeout for the last play, and John Gillon took advantage of a chaotic situation to get in position for the game winning shot. Last week, in a similar situation vs. Louisville, you did call the timeout and we were unable to win it in regulation. Did the result of the Louisville game impact your choice not to call TO in this game?

Seriously? You're trying to equate a last second shot to Duke's normal offense?
