Get the best oline you can and live in the margins with the rest of the offense, I think you can scheme guys open who are not elite if you can block and the better you can run the easier passing becomes. Tons of teams have shown that, You dont need A talent on offense and there are B level guys all over.

I doubt we even have the money to do that well, the hope is that our C-D level talent on the oline can get to Bs by next year.

I agree with the O line being a key to offensive success next year. I think with Angeli back and healthy, we have enough talent at wide receiver, Tight End, and running back, to have a productive offense. I like Nixon and I hope he stays as our OC. ON defense, I think we need some athletic line backers that can cover and some rush D ends.

our running backs totaled 25 yds on 18 carries. longest being 6 yds. tells me a couple things.
1. our o-line can't open holes. we've seen the failures on 4th and short (cough SMU) .
2. defenses don't respect our passing game. selling out to stop the run.

Gotta be able to open holes! Very important

i won't allow my mind to wander into the gutters and just assume you're parlaying the modern advantages of the pull tab versus the old church key per se . yes indeed pull tabs (and their twist off kindred ) do offer the advantage of easier access and being a syracuse fan myself , seasons like these i often develop a certain callous on my dominant forefinger . that said i still do enjoy the challenge and tease of a fine import playing hard to get . and while every proper shaving kit should include a captain's knife i often find myself in a hotel room thinking " oh well, it's not my coffee table."
