Maybe I'm being a homer, but I wouldn't be surprised to be in the preseason top five now, and I'd be surprised to be outside the top 10.

It's hard to remember a team, any sport, pro or college, that I've been more proud to root for than this one. Win or lose, they do not quit.

That's one of the reasons I'll be rooting for Nova in the early game. Mainly, I think they're the least likely team to be able to blow us out, and if we hang around, we've seen what this 'Cuse team can do with its heart. Nova's got a pretty big casual fan base, but not the kind of fan base that's going to travel. Lots of Philly sports fans will make a night out of going to the bar and rooting for them, just like they would if Temple or St. Joe's made it, but they won't drop a couple thousand on a trip to Houston. You've pretty much gotta be an alum or a lifelong die hard to do that, and Philly isn't a college sports town, especially the way the Big 5 is there - lots of casual fans root for all of them, but don't live and die with any of them.
