Thanks for your always entertaining recap. My couple of thoughts watching from my living room: - I was really happy that when ESPN flashed the obligatory full screen graphic about the Fine Mess that Tim Welsh basically ignored it and transitioned the conversation in a different direction, or so I thought he did. - Saw Dirty on at least one occasion attempt to take his man off the dribble to the hoop. Yeah, if he could gain the confidence in his handle to do this just here and there it would be a great addition to his game. - Seemed like we couldn't finish anything on the break last night. I can't recall a game where we had so many fast break attempts result in zero points. - Dion's catch and shoot off of a screen in the first half was really impressive, reminded me of Andy. If he is able to do that consistently... Holy Shet watch out, we have found our star, he won't be here next year and we can stop worrying about whether we have a guy that carry us offensively. - Was really stoked to see Rak get the run he did. I was really happy for him that he had his turn at a pretty solid performance. Made me realize how deep we are; as I was watching and wondering why JB wasn't rewarding him for his solid play with reentry later in the 1st half I started thinking hmmmm, Dirty hasn't had much run yet and Fair had only had a few minutes......if Rak all of a sudden started playing out of his mind, how would the rotation work to get all of those guys minutes? Maybe that's why Rak really doesn't get an opportunity to play through his mistakes...the rotation just becomes impossible with three guys at the PF alongside a 32+ minute guy at the other forward. - I thought the rotation was really strange last night, but in a good way. Very rare to see JB give two deep bench guys so much run in a game that was within 10-12 points late into the second half. MCW played most of the second half and Rak played a considerable number of minutes in the second half as well. Maybe Triche and Dion were banged up or maybe JB was just feeling chartiable as we close in on the holiday season and wanted to boost MCW and Rak's spirits. - I see a lot of comments about how badly we played. I really didn't see that. I thought we played pretty well, especially given that the majority of the game was played with combinations heretofore not seen in these parts.
