Fab's shooting hasn't been exactly spectacular. His improvement, for the most part, this year has been at the defensive end. He has learned to block with he best of them making his presence pretty intimidating. His rebounding has improved as well and while he does, at times, make dumb passes from out of the middle he has improved there as well including bounce passes that are pretty tough to finish. The education of Fab needs to focus on his shooting. He needs to learn that he is big and should just take the ball to the basket and slam it home ... he's not a 4 so his outside shooting should have less emphasis. But it would be nice if he could make those short shots as well. Fab probably could get drafted easily after this year but IMO he would benefit from 1 more year at SU to work on the finer points of his game ... his stock will go up so much more. P.S. Did everybody see Fab's "dive" after the ball in the 1st half. He literally jumped off his feet and looked like he was diving into a pool. I thought it was hysterical. BIG E for effort tho. Dirty looked bad shooting last night. But he has shown real improvement in his defense and in his getting under the basket for rebounds. He looks lost dribbling and a couple of times got in a bind when he tried ... but he was able to pass it out. Dion ... what is there to say. Simply the best player on the team. Even when he has an off night, like last night (Hey only 12 points) he is simply the best player on the court. I agree with JB that there is simply nowhere that Dion can improve. What I love most though is his attitude. After the presses he was raising his hands to pump the crowd. I hope also that people note the "love" between JB and DW now. JB is treating him like a leader of this team ... patting him on the back, giving him directions to take back on court, etc. .. and Dion is listening. I may be biased (I am) but DW should be considered not only best 6th man but POY as well. I know one of the announcers said he would never get it b/c of lack of playing time but screw that ... he is our go to guy. Enjoy him ... he be gone and I think JB knows it as well as everybody else ... unless Momma can talk him back next year. BT is up... BT is down. When he is good he is very, very good. When he is bad JB is smart enough to pull him. What I love about BT is his tenacity. He follows his shots and I am always amazed at the number of times he rebounds his own misses. OK I get bashed now. What is going on with KJo? I know he scored double figures last night but watching him tells me he has become timid. This was his 3rd in a row subpar game. Against Marquette it looked like he was slipping, sliding, and falling as if he were playing on ice in the first half. Something is wrong and I hope he breaks out of this slump. We will definitely need the old KJo down the line. Rak is getting good experience. He has looked very good in flashes. His rebounding is improving and he is showing some more aggression under the basket ... all good things. He will be a monster for us next year ... that is a promise. I have been a big Rak fan from the get go and I think that JB is handling his experience well while not draining his self-confidence. Well this is getting too long. I love this team. They are certainly one of the most entertaining and explosive teams that SU has ever had. My concern is their 2nd half sluggishness and I truly believe that they get bored.
