Great analysis as always, Tom. You really touched on something that stood out to me: I don't see how we make the post-season with this group of walk-ons. I am not sure if they are sick or injured, in JB's doghouse, or if they have already decided to hit the portal, but we need to do a better job recruiting walk-ons. On the other hand, they have received so little playing time that who can blame them. We have all been clamoring to see them, but they have not had a chance to develop their skills. Even more damning is that they have not had a chance to be judged by us and then extrapolated into incredible careers. JB is obviously to blame for that. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what they do in practice or what the coaches see, all that matters is what they look like when we fans see them in mop up time. Because of their limited playing time, it is impossible for fans to see enough of them to decide what the staff should be doing with them. I'm surprised that there are not endless threads on the matter. Remember when our walk-ons were good? Not anymore. A real indictment of our whole program, if you ask me. Very sad. Edit: I have decided to edit this, as I don't want to give the impression that I am bashing the walk-ons. They are unsung members of the team. It's not their fault that they don't play more. Judah and Joe play 30 minutes a night? Give me a break! They should get 20 minutes tops and the walk-ons should get a chance to show us what they can do. We are all in agreement that the fans need to evaluate. When we are blowing out the University of Patrick Ewing or #3 Virginia and JB motions the walk-ons to go to the scorer's table, you want them to have experience, right? If they do not, I think we can all point, as per usual, to the elderly gentleman on the bench.
