So I was very pleased with our OL in the run game. They did struggle a bit with the blitz, but that can be remedied with time, continuity and continued healthy reps. We will miss LeQuint, who was singularly the finest RB in college last year in pass protection/picking up the blitz. And yet, the offense played really well. 26 points (only Ohio State and UGA scored that many against the Vols last year). And a number of sustained drives. Angeli gets a solid B-, perhaps even a B if grading to consider the pressure in his face. He’s gonna be just fine. Last few … The kids gotta be ready to play right from the jump. That’s confidence. Or lack there of. Those lamenting that we played that game against an SEC program of ilk can sukc it. I am sick of trying to artificially engineer 6 wins. Fran is here is win. To measure just who and what we are. The loss to the Vols will bear fruit. Maybe next week, maybe next year. It’s coming. Proud of the program yesterday. Let’s lay off the ERob venom. The Vols won handily, but they had 14 points handed to them by our offense (short field, scoop score). Falling behind so early opened things up for their offense. And their QB performed.
