But again, I don’t think taking him away was a priority. They made a lot of big plays, but if you look at them, they were not great throws, but they were insanely good catches. Their tight end made two insane TDs and #9 another huge catch. Coverage was actually very good on most of their big plays. There really was not a difference between their quarterback and receivers and UConns. #14 Davion Kerr set a new Syracuse record for the worst angle ever taken on a running play. (And we have a lot of contenders.) he had 10 yards to close on the RB and miscalculated so badly it was almost like he was a grade school player. Easy 40 yard TD was embarrassing, even if he’s a third stranger. It was really the only “really bad” defensive play I saw. Our second and third team players got beat badly. Especially in the secondary. We are missing Grant badly. Individually, our receiving core is every bit as good as last year. Unbelievable depth. Hill has a little Ant Bailey in him.
