The reads would skew to the run.  the box is run friendly but the oline is still not really doing much with it

We are trying to pass into less pass friendly sets, thus the QB has more work to do to make the correct progressions.

Duke caused some issues last week.  They showed some looks, identified our check downs and  flew to the ball.

Duke QB was the same, We showed some looks and he checked down to open guys all day for good gains where as we did the same and got nothing

so now its a question of schemes or tendencies. Coaches will be able to tell on film whether Duke was honoring the play or jumping the play much more than we can.

Much like Clemson did not hgndle stuff we had not shown all year and Duke did much better with it.

On top of that the oline lost too many 1-1 battles. For all we know some perfect play calls failed because of blocking issues.  There were several runs that key blocks were missed and the field was completely open had they been made.
