good day for the punters. stonehouse was excellent with 7 kicks for 320 yds ( longest 55) ,0 tb's and 2 inside the 20. we'll forgive the missed tackle. shouldn't have been punting in the 1st place.
but let's also give an attaboy to pitt's punter caleb junko . 6 kicks for 287 yds (longest 60 )also 0 tb's and 2 inside the twenty. including one under extreme duress that we let bounce and roll .
also agree this is the second time i've seen us fair catch inside the 5. once you backpedal inside the ten...let it go !

one other point on the kicking game. we have now executed 2 totally unexpected onside kicks.
both done perfectly and caught the opponents totally unawares. well that's over. and if you look up the stats on recovery ratios for unexpected on side kick success versus expected OSK the difference drops from 20% to about 5 %. we done shot that bullitt. i predict every team has now seen the tape and will be prepared. nice while it lasted tho.
