My Take

He sure did. Played the second most minutes (24), had 2 pts, 1-6 shooting, 0-4 from three, had 5 TOs (most of anyone) and also committed the most fouls. That's bad, for a guy with a year at Duke, with a year at SU to learn the system and against exhibition level talent. Hope it was just starting jitters.
Carrying on from the Canadien tour. He looks like a guy that won't hurt you (despite the 5 TO), but he won't be putting double figures on the board anytime soon.

He'll get better, no matter where he plays. Still young.

Some of the posters predicting Gbinije as a starter were over the top with their certainty. Not you, of course.

LOL, I try not to be toooo over the top on anything after all its guess work by layman to pass the time. I agree MikeG will get better but after wathcing him on 5 exhibitions and the scrimage I'm still just very unsure of what he really is or will be as a player. We are in great shape our boggest questions are which center will emerge next to Baye and who are backup guys will be out of a talented group.

Bernie was neither a former center or player.

Good point. Doesn't improve Hop's performance, however. And, I've always said Bernie was overhyped.

Really. Are you on some mind altering drug. Nobody, and I mean nobody, carried a clipboard like Bernie did. Nothing overhyped about that.:rolling:

Your syracusefan.com awesomeness rating just took a nosedive, Steve.

I don't know what to believe anymore. I bet you've been pulling all your amazing stats and information out of your ass all these years, too. ;)

I'm still in football mode.

If that were the case, he would never be on the floor. I know your point is to use that as a teaching tool. I have to believe that hours are spent in practice working on this very thing. Hours. Have to give him the benefit of the doubt for now. But, from what I have seen and continue to see...Keita will be on the floor when it matters most.

Coleman has to learn that he's as tall as where he holds the ball.

Every single time Coleman brings the ball down low - he needs to sit - immediately and without exception. Not kidding here. His future bank account can thank us later.
And he should stop hesitating! That is when he brings the ball down low. When he gets the ball (on a rebound), he should immediately go up with it. His bulk alone should clear enough space for him to get his shot off. And trying to draw a foul is a waste of time.
