First and foremost, thanks to you guys for allowing me and my fellow tiger fans to post on your forum all week. It is quite refreshing to be able to discuss football without too many childish insults and trolls taking over. If you will have me, I will continue to pop in throughout the season, and maybe even once or twice in basketball season since we might have a good team again. All reports I have heard from friends who went to the game said the Syracuse fans were very gracious hosts, and I look forward to returning the favor in 2 years. When it comes closer to game time, I will see what I can do to get a NOLA bar to set up some type of party for Cuse fans, and I will be giving out details as to how anyone who wishes, can join us at our tailgate in 2017. I would also like to propose a trade. We will give you 2 5* WR's for your punter. Any takers? As for the game. It was definitely closer than I was hoping or expected. You guys have a great coach, and you can tell he had your team ready top go. #9 is a beast, as was that little safety (#8 i think). I look forward to watching your team progress, and I think once Dungey comes back you guys have the ability to surprise some teams. As with all OOC opponents, I will watch your games when I can, and will be pulling for you to have a great season, as it can only help us down the road. I read some comments on here saying our fans blamed the close games on penalties, and didn't give your team enough credit. I am here to say that both things can happen. Syracuse definitely deserves credit for keeping it close, but at the same time, stupid, undisciplined mistakes by our players definitely kept that game closer than it should have been. All 3 of your TD drives were extended by penalties, and we brought back 3 first downs and a TD that resulted in dead drives after the penalties. So we can what if all day...what if Dungey had played?...what if LSU didn't self inflict with so many penalties?...what if etc... Bottom line is, what happened, happened. And the result was a hard fought game, that I think both fan bases can walk away proud of the way their teams fought. And lastly, If Auburn and Cuse have taught me anything about Mr Fournette, its that I hope teams will continue to stack the box against us. When I go back and look at all of his long runs this year, it has been situations where the defense had 8/9 guys withing 4 yards of the LOS. In theory this seems like the right idea, but as teams are quickly finding out, all it takes is one good block, and LF is into the second level, with no one there to stop him. I hope teams keep bringing so many guys up, because his highlight reel will just keep growing.
