[QUOTE="rrlbees, post: 73358, member: 96"] If Hay was a leader he'd be a captain. He's not a leader so I don't know why Ryan mentioned him unless it is based on being a senior. Does anyone remember how Marrone does captains? Does the team select them or Marrone? Does the team get a couple picks and Marrone 1? I don't know who should be captain but I think we have the wrong ones. Bailey and Scott are great kids but IMO, they aren't in your face kick ass and take names later guys. They might even be hard workers but do they have full command of the team? Harris is a workout warrior and he is to be commended for what he has accomplished after being at Cornell. But, since he spent 2 years at Cornell and didn't begin his career here, does he have enough "cache" to command respect? All 3 are very very good students. I think that is a great great thing for a student athlete to take school so seriously. But is being a captain limited to also being some of the best students on the team? Not saying it is good or bad but I wonder if it necessarily makes them the best captain material? Are they too "nice"? I don't know the answers to any of my questions, but I do know we have had captains in the past when there was a problem, whether it was an internal problem, losing, or an off field problem, they would take things into their own hands and didn't take any guff about it.
