2 perfectly executed drives to take The Lead
2 perfectly executed drives to take The Lead
Nassib was in command.
Only in the NFL, very impressiveReminded me of the USF game his senior year.
Nice seeing Pugh and Bromley too.
Is that your idea of contrition? He did more than save his job , he sent his stock thru the roof. When they showed Tommy Coughlin on the sidelines during those drives he didn't have that tortured angry look , in fact he had the look of someone falling in love. Watch out Eli.May have just saved his job
Settle down. Nice drives, probably sent Painter to the waiver wire, yes. Don't go nuts here.Is that your idea of contrition? He did more than save his job , he sent his stock thru the roof. Your not going to sic Kaiser on me now , are you ?Settle down. Nice drives, probably sent Painter to the waiver wire, yes. Don't go nuts here.
Against the guys being cut on Monday.2 perfectly executed drives to take The Lead
Nope - he'll find you on his own. Just pointing out that statements like 'Watch out Eli' don't help your credibility. That's all.Your not going to sic Kaiser on me now , are you ?

And he did it with 2nd and 3rd string guys who were dropping passes and picking up penalties that normally kill game wining drives. No he saved his ass from being cut by playing well versus 2nd and 3rd stringers. Look this isn't intramurals. He was moved to 3rd string because that is where he is was on the depth chart. The fact is he is one hit from being the starter, look around the league, I am not so sure Nassib is truly a #2 guy right now and the Giants I am sure feel the same.
If his stock is through the roof he wouldn't be fighting for the 2 spot and to keep a roster spot. It's a body of work and last week speaks volumes. A guy firmly in control as 2 guy isn't sucking hind teet to painter for even a week. Painter is a very very marginal 2 guy.

As of now Eli has not done anything with the new offense. You don't live on your laurels very long in Gotham. The motto of that city is " I don't care what you did for me yesterday , what are you going to do for me today ".Nope - he'll find you on his own. Just pointing out that statements like 'Watch out Eli' don't help your credibility. That's all.
Yep. As the Kaiser said, last night makes the #2 decision very tough. It may well come down to next week - 'winner' take all.Eli looked awful, Painter is awful, Ryan played great. He's not starting anytime soon, but we can give him some credit, its okay.
He certainly saved his job, he went from being an easy cut...to a difficult one.
Pugh tried to help him move up the depth chart by nearly getting Eli killed a few times, got to work on that, he the defacto #1 OL now.
Bromley will be in the rotation.
I can't get used to seeing a Syracuse DE, playing the Mike...scares me. Need Beason back.
This is a big week for nassib, he can't slip back...needs to grab that #2 and leave no doubt as to why he won it. Strong practice and strong game v the jv, no inconsistency, progression, progression, progression.
