You just said yourself he wouldn't. That hurts NO's return. Thus, LA being able to damage NO's leverage in negotiations especially if teams have to operate on the premise it will be a one year rental. That knocks out Toronto as well and others thinking they'll buy now and flip later to cut their losses. What NO thinks they could get in the summer may not be there in the summer if one of the major players leaves the table, so does that impact how they approach these negotiations is the question.

It's already been reported the Lakers are offering both Kuzma and Ingram.

I know Celtics fans seem to think it's a done deal but I think it's far from a guarantee Kyrie signs in Boston this summer. He very well could but operating like it's a lock I don't think is very wise.
