I love KD and think he was the best player in the league... but he’s going to be two years on the wrong side of thirty and coming of an Achilles when he plays again. Huge risk in my opinion. I also am glad they dumped Porzingis... he is a stat getter who doesn’t seem to win games. I’m really curious to see how he ends up.

Unfortunately this means the Knicks are going to be bad for a few more years... I don’t see any easy fixes. I think Barrett, Knox and Robinson are a good start but don’t see any elite talent there.

Biggest need is a true point and some bench dudes to play D. I like the Randle addition as he can offer some easy buckets that aren’t jumpers. Smith, Trier, Knox and Barrett give them more than enough offense. There is no floor leader or really a team leader, Nitlikina might develop into one but right now it’s all potential and he seems farther from realizing it than when he got drafted.

The biggest issue is I’m not sold on Fizdale as a head coach... he is a terrible game day coach and I don’t see any semblance of a system. You put Budzenholder, whom the Knicks said no to, on the sidelines and this team is much much closer to competing. I think there is talent but they have the wrong dude on the bench trying to develop it into a winning team.
