The elements of the “Net Points” formula are points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, missed field goals, missed free throws, turnovers and fouls committed. In that first season, the league only kept track of points, assists, field goal and free throw attempts and makes and fouls committed. Rebounds were added the next year, then minutes in 1951-52, steals and blocks in 1973-74 and turnovers in 1977-78. I’ve included those numbers as they were available.
