Russ may be the most exciting and entertaining singular player in the nba, but he's going to marginalize any player that is either a star or really versatile.

OKC needs to surround Russ with three 3/D guys + Adams. Guys that are fine getting looks off of the black hole that Russ is.

Russ used to be a 90/10 guy in terms of what he brings to the table versus what he takes away from it. I'd argue that number is closer to 75/25 at this point, with the way the nba is trending.

The perfect example was him getting embarrassed by Rubio, claiming he was going to shut him down and then only caring about Rubio and not playing good team defense, ignoring the system.

Back to Melo - he needs to be careful about his choices here if he wants to prolong his career. There just aren't a ton of teams where his type of play is going to be welcomed and fit. I don't think he's washed, though. I think he still has something to give.
