They won 50 games and got to the second round.  Way ahead of schedule IMO.  They easily could’ve won this series 4-1, but the better coached team with more experience that’s actuslly been in the playoffs made all the plays down the stretch to pull out games.

Both franchises are in great shape.

And no way do you bench your second best player.  I will say that Simmons’ airhead plays down the stretch are a bit concerning.  That one possession late he completely lost his man off the ball and left him wide open when he cut.  He is way too disengaged at times when he or his man doesn’t have the ball.  Then again, you’ve gotta remember how young he is and how little coaching he’s had.

I think Covington’s poor play was a big factor.  That guy had a very solid season, but was shaky in these playoffs.
