If it's a league of two teams, Toronto and Boston, Boston is clearly the better team and if I had to wager tonight it would be Boston. In the matchup of the two, Boston has had the ability to comfortably handle Toronto in 4 games this year. Boston moreso than other team, has forced Toronto into taking hard shots -- its not just games where they are not hitting shots -- its games where they are not getting quality shots. Something Stevens does (or the matchup). But it doesn't happen against other teams in the regular season. Toronto lost to Miami a few times -- but those games they had great looks over and over missed. Even all that considered, this series is still tied at 3 games. But the league is much bigger than two teams. And you have to consider that when you look beyond the series. - Toronto won 5 more games than Boston this year. - Toronto had the best record in the regular season bubble, despite having the hardest ranked schedule. - Toronto has consistently surpassed expectations whether its from an individual game or before the season starts. Do I think Toronto is the better team. Not really, but I think making the conclusive argument that Boston is better isn't really proper either. These teams are both fairly equal. As an aside, while I thought Boston was ranked much higher than Toronto in the preseason, it was but not by so much. Both teams did better than expected -- both teams were bargains on preseason. I got Toronto at 28-1 fairly early in the year, so have hedged a bit on Boston this series. It was more of a 2018/2019 issue where Boston had an over/under of 59.5 wins.
