Tailgate report. We had a beautiful Autumn day in North Carolina and Joe Lumbrazo (hails from CNY) and his Backyard Bistro crew treated us like family. Joe fenced off the rear patio area (with ORANGE fence no less) and positioned the Bud beer trailer along the perimeter. The grills and tables were arranged conveniently and the food was hot and tasty. Cooneys and Basilio's Buda Sausage were the highlights and burgers were available for the asking. Large dishes of potato salad, slaw and banana pudding complemented the meat choices. While each tailgater got two beer tickets, Joe simply decided to leave the tap open for anyone who desired more. Lemonade, iced tea and Yankee tea (that's unsweet tea) and soda was available in self-service. Joe had a disc jockey playing music, which made for a great party atmosphere. Special thanks to Pauline Saraceni at SU Alum for sending a care package of SU goodies and for the special surprise of sending the SU Cheer Leaders our way. Much appreciated, Pauline - you're the best! Parking at BYB is as convenient as it will ever get at Carter-Finlay Stadium for visiting tailgates as it literally is across the street to the stadium driveway's entrance. Special thanks to Mrs Crusty who, 7 days removed from major sinus surgery, insisted on attending, greeting everyone and handling check in (denying me the opportunity to create havoc). Even doped up she once again proved where the competence in the family rests! Thanks to Cusejuicy and Mrs C-Bomb for their help once again. Who's better that you guys?!! The biggest thanks to all the stalwart Cuse fans (100+) who showed up. A tailgate is a party and you guys are what make it fun. As this most disappointing football season comes to a close, we stand proud and united as Syracuse Orange. Thanks to TexanMark , we at least had a great tailgate season!! See y'all next season! Go Orange!
