Great sequence at the end of the half. Anya with a monster stuff on Ochefu (who had been in the lane for what seemed like 10 seconds), and then Lacey cans a 3 at the buzzer.

NC State did not attempt a FT until about 2:30 remained in the half.
 
Definitely on the ACC vibe with this one. These Big East teams are bothering me. Throwing Butler, Xavier, Nova, Georgetown and St Johns at me. How are some of you rooting for these God awful programs? Two teams who hate us, one team that flopped their way to a victory over us and two others that are ruining basketball.
 
NC State has the bigs to cover Nova's big guy. If Cat Barber stays out of foul trouble I like NC State to win. They have the speed to match Nova and are bothering Nova on defense.

Yeah, feel like the officiating was decidedly pro-Nova...and a lane violation of a miss of a front end of a one and one?! Really??? The NC State fans gave a mock cheer when Nova was called for a foul on an NC State shot.

I think that refs will slap Barber with his 3rd foul early in the 2nd half.

Good call...and probably on a b.s. hand check. I feel like NC State is playing a physical game inside and apart from Pinkston, Nova is pretty soft. They don't like getting punched in the mouth. Cat Barber is faster than a hiccup-- very fun to watch.

Hillard stepped on Barber's shoe and that is a trip? That was a Dick Bavetta we gotta help the team we want call.

A guy I know is very good friends with Jay Wright...actually gets comped from Jay all the time and talks to him at least once a week. He said that Danny Ainge told Wright that Achidiacano will be an NBA player. Ainge said he loves his game and so do the scouts.:eek::confused:

I don't see it. I see him barely better than Aaron Craft. Achidiacano averages 11 ppg 3 apg and his shooting %s aren't great.
 
Dare I say "Go Wolfpack?"...or would that jinx them?

I agree. Kid plays hard and is a nice college player, but not an NBA a player. Then again, he could get better. I think he will be a pro but not NBA.
