I posted something in the "Writing on the Wall" thread that felt like a preview. Post #219 if you want to check it out. After reading and listening to most everything out there at this point, I think the biggest thing in this game is pace of play, and how SU can dictate it. Easiest way is to do so at the face-off dot. On paper SU has an advantage with John Mullen, but as we've seen anything can happen. He was 50% in the first matchup and was sub 50 last week. He had been crushing it prior to the Princeton game, and I have to think the refs got into his head with the whistle. If he plays like he did vs Notre Dame/Duke/Harvard, that would set up SU really well. SU obviously has to shoot well in this game and not let McAnaney get hot. And last thing, cannot slide like crazy people against this offense - make them beat you. I think matchups against the Terps are pretty obvious (Fig on Erksa, Dwan on Spanos, Grace on Kelly), but if our long poles leave their man to double, that guy is certainly going to get the ball. On defense I think it's really important that they remain calm and composed, the Terps will punish them if they get sloppy. This game is winnable, but they have to play really well. McCool getting his mojo back is perhaps the thing that concerns me the most right now, but he clearly has the talent. The whole team needs to play smart and capitalize on the opportunities that present themselves. Let's go Orange!! HHH!! WOOOOOO!!!!
