NCAA First Four Games for Thursday March 18

While neither team was all that impressive I don't like to think SDSU is 17 pts better than last night's version of UCLA...

This was a rock fight, that had a good ending. It was terrible basketball.

Good summary and sometimes people equate a good ending with a good game and last night was Exhibit A on how that is not the case.

Bad look for Izzo

I didn’t see it last night. But from where I sit that’s more on the player than Izzo. Yes I know Izzo took hold of his shirt, but the kid is walking away from him ignoring his coach. When the kid turns around, that’s some real anger. When your coach talks, you listen.

Underdogs won 3 of the 4 games, and Drake was favored by 2 and won by 1, so all 4 dogs covered the spread. Hopefully we will do more than just cover the spread.

Tough tournament for Izzo. After the brackets came out, he and his crew complained loudly about their seed and questioned how they could possibly be seeded lower than Syracuse.

Then in the pre game interviews for UCLA, he talked about West coast basketball and how soft it is.

If this was JB there would be a 20 page thread on how he should retire immediately or JW should give him his walking papers. This isn’t the first time this has happened with Izzo either. IMO MSU runs a grimy athletic program and the entire house needs to be cleaned based on past incidents.

I am still pretty shocked they beat the top 3 teams in the BIG with the team they have. I haven't watched them a ton but other than entertainment value they looked unimpressive last night. They don't have a PG, rely a ton on contested looks and then the big guy in the middle. They also look like a team that doesn't like one another. It makes me even more curious about how the Big Ten fairs in the tourney. We know it tends to be guard dominated and if a few of them run into a hot shooting team the best conference could lay an egg this year..

you go 15-12, no matter how tough the conference is, take your bid and shut the hell up, Izzo. so glad they lost. he can go back to covering up rapes by his players
