Most of us know there isn't going to be a new college football game out this year, but some people (with way too much time on their hands) have updated the rosters to reflect this year's freshman/ new stats for returning players. At 4:16 in the video below, they show the overall highest rated players for this season. Sean Hickey is in the top 10 this year and is rated at a 96! Pretty awesome to see some Cuse players get respect, even if it is from a few gaming nerds. 23 days until the loud house comes back to life, see you there!

Why isn't there going to be a NCAA '15 this year? Just curious...

one of the biggest reason is the "likeness" law suit that EA sports lost to former players.

For a long time I felt this was the best sports game out there. Sucks that it's gonna be gone. I'm surprised they dont do something similar to SEGA/Super Nintendo/PS1 with the old basketball games, like Michael Jordan being SG #89.

The players sure won that one... Big win.

EA was willing to pay the players, they couldn't get the license from the schools/conferences, who are worried about the lawsuit. It also didn't help when EA and the NCAA admitted that the players in the game are based upon the actual players.

Actually a lot of players aren't happy that the game isn't being made. They liked playing as themselves. It was all over twitter a few weeks ago.

and that was part of the lawsuit as well. prior EA sports had a contract with the NCAA to use all the schools, after the suit they would have had to get permission and paid every single school. so...yeah.

This is basically the one thing I'm disappointed about when it comes to the athletes beating the NCAA.

NCAA Football was one of only two reasons I ever even bothered having a PS3 (the Fallout games being the other).

Blaming the players is wrong in this case. EA went to the NCAA and offered to pay the schools and the players to use logos, mascots, uniforms, and player names, etc. They were willing to make it happen so they could put the actual names in the games instead of QB10.

Blame the NCAA and their outdated notion of amateurism.

I will miss beating Rutgers, PSU, Pitt, WVU and of course Clemson by triple digits.

I've been following the O'Bannon case. It could be a long while before an NCAA football game returns because no matter which way the judge rules, this case will be locked in appeals for a long while.
