It's funny some OSU blow hards are complaining about the heavy handed punishemnt just because of actions of a few players. What they still don't get is that the punishment is really a result of a university official (Tressel) knew about the violations and chose not to report them. What I can't believe is that Gene Smith still has a job.

Why they granted them a waiver to allow urban to recruit while they have another whole staff to coach right now is beyond me. Another What NCAA decision.

North Carolina was granted the same waiver. Their new coach (Fedora) is able to spend all of his time recruiting, while their interim coach (Withers) handles the bowl game. So, the NCAA covered themselves vis-a-vis the special treatment one of their untouchable cash cows (OSU).

Totally unfair, and a lousy precedent.
