NCAA official "nitty gritty" report just released...

this mirrors...or ESPN INsider mirrors this report and also calls it the Nitty Gritty report

Not surprising we have been at the top of the RPI for quite a while and had a huge gap before loosing in South Bend. Looks like as long as Duke and UNC only lose to each other the rest of the way one of them will graba 1 seed as always. Still think they finally ship that 1 seed out west for once since SU should get the east and UK the south.

here is the ESPNInsider Nitty Gritty...this is what Lunardi basis his projections on bracketology...he has had 'Cuse #1 all season...indicates that his Nitty Gritty and rankings mirror the NCAA's but his has been out since week 3 of season. Here is top 4...and he does have Duke out west as #1 for now...but believes either Duke or UNC or a Big 12 team will be the fourth #1 after 'Cuse, KY, and OSU

I will be happy to keep you all informed of the ESPN INsider # if you like?

Notice: no one's record is close "versus top 100." So much for the "we don't schedule anyone" nonsense.
I was about to say that.

Marquette and Cuse are the only teams in America with more than 9 wins vs. the top 100 RPI. They have 10; we have 11.

Gotta start playing like the #1 team again.

Fab's return will certainly help, but it will come down to the play of our guards (and Southerland/Fair). Hopefully our 3-point percentage lately is just a meaningless slump and not a precursor. Otherwise, SU will fade.

With Fab returning the guards will once again be free to cheat more on defense. They will be much more effective.

Yeah, but Gottlieb argues we only have 4 games against top 50, while the Duke's and Mich St's of the world have 8-9 games against better foes. Top 50 are the teams you play in March.
