I am guessing that if there is no NCAA championship at the end of the season, SU men’s soccer, field hockey and cross country are not going to participate in the fall. My guess is that this will drive the ACC to try and play all fall sports but football in the spring.

What is there to play for if there is no championship possible at the end? These are all exceptional programs that have a chance of winning a NC...and the ACC has many other programs also capable of this.
I can’t believe they would do that. Or the other ACC schools. It will be interesting to see if these sports all get moved to the spring or not. Gotta think they will.Unless we play conference only games and end with the ACC Tournament.
With only 6 of the 32 conferences in NCAA Division 1 playing fall sports this year, the NCAA would have a difficult time putting together 64 team tournaments anyway. The ACC can have its seasons for soccer, cross country, field hockey and volleyball and the ACC tournaments.Unless we play conference only games and end with the ACC Tournament.
I thought our student-athletes played for the character building aspect of sport, the love of the game, and the educational opportunity afforded them via scholarship?I am guessing that if there is no NCAA championship at the end of the season, SU men’s soccer, field hockey and cross country is not going to participate in the fall.
