So that does limit some of the potential ridiculousness (of course it may challenged too). In the case of Bediako he left after the 22/23 season... his window ends at the end of the 2025/2026 season. So in his case he can only come back this year. Honestly if the whole transfer thing was more under control and players were at the same school the whole time, that 4 year period window wouldn't kill me (even if I'm not in favour) -- in essence it becomes a minor league option for the player where he goes back to his old school... but the transfer portal wrecks even that.
