All Games in the West Regional will be simulated in this thread, starting with the games that would have been played on Thursday

(Note I had erroneously put Siena through, and I have edited the region

Note these are first simulation runs only so I don't keep running until I get something exciting. This one just turned out great on the first run/

#1 GONZAGA 109, #16 SOUTHERN 107.(OT)

In what will go down as an instant NCAA Tournament Classic, Gonzaga repeated some of the jitters of prior year past and barely got by Southern in OT.

See the play by play below. Bench player Skyler Baggs hit a buzzer beating bank shot to tie the game at the end of regulation.

The overtime was just as crazy. Southen hit a three with 15 seconds left to get within 1. Gonzaga then hit only one of 2 shots, and Southern then hit another three with 4 seconds left to tie the game!!

Gonzaga then hit a buzzer beater of their own to win the game 109-107 in Overtime. Some have already called this the most exciting game in NCAA tournament history!!

#3 Oregon 74, #14 Eastern Washington 66

Eastern Washington hung around for most of this game and was within 5 with 6 minutes left as the Spokane crowd became very excited.

Oregon responded with a 9-0 run to go up 14 and cruised home.

#1 Gonzaga 88, #9 USC #79

Closer game then the score, USC was within 1 with 5 minutes left, and was within a possession for basically the entire second half up to that point.

Gonzaga has started a trend the last 5 years of playing at or above seed after some tourney struggles.
The struggles continue this year.
