SU will now play Pitt and BC home-and-home every year.

Two other teams will be home-and-home. Another five will be home only and the remaining five will be road only.

Seems like a nice balance - 4 "rivals" instead of 3 in the Big East. Two permanent ones in ACC and 2 rotating vs. all 3 rotating in the Big East.

Here are the home & home (partner) match ups:

Boston College - Notre Dame and Syracuse
Clemson - Florida State and Georgia Tech
Duke - North Carolina and Wake Forest
Florida State - Clemson and Miami
Georgia Tech - Clemson and Notre Dame
Maryland - Pitt and Virginia
Miami - Florida State and Virginia Tech
North Carolina - Duke and NC State
NC State - North Carolina and Wake Forest
Notre Dame - Boston College and Georgia Tech
Pitt - Maryland and Syracuse
Syracuse - Boston College and Pitt
Virginia - Maryland and Virginia Tech
Virginia Tech - Miami and Virginia
Wake Forest - Duke and NC State

Playing Pittsburgh twice a year in the ACC will be interesting. With ACC officials, Pitt's front line might actually get into foul trouble with the way they play 'defense'.

BC and Pitt home/home partners every year...yuck!!! Would rather have Maryland.

Unless Pitt returns to the Charles Smith era, I'm with you.

They've had 11 years of prominence due to a god-awful ugly style of play that likely won't be permissible in the new conference. They're hardly an appealing opponent.

Boston College is the same, minus the 11 years of prominence.

4 guaranteed wins in the ACC -- that works for me!

We get two more on a rotating basis, just like we have in the Big East. If we are expected to be among the top 4 teams in the ACC (which I presume we will for the foreseeable future), we will get 2 more made-for-TV match-ups, which ought to be against other top teams, just like the Big East does now, so that those who are expected to compete for the conference title in a given year are given home-and-homes.

Works for me - what I lose in Providence (some years) I gain in BC (every year). It's a win-win (meaning 2 ACC wins guaranteed). :)

Well, you know me. I'd rather have UConn and Providence and Seton Hall and St. John's and Rutgers and Villanova. BC is too far for a weeknight and Pitt simply too far, period.

I'll definitely take advantage of a road trip to Boston. Great city.

Agree. Although, Providence is a great mid-sized town (if it weren't for the horrible BE leadership that resides these).

I love that Maryland now isn't guaranteed home games vs. Duke/UNC anymore. The one fanbase in America that has a bigger chip on it's shoulder that SU now has more reason to hate the Carolina mafia.
