I understand that completely... I agree you can't wait for kids while others want to be here, as long as the talent difference is minute...When the inn is full, it's full. If you have someone who wants to take his time and someone else who you like almost as much but is ready to commit now, what would you do?
You can gamble and hold out for one or two slots, but if you end up not filling those slots with the high profile recruits then you're left with offering lower regarded candidates or saving the spots for the following year.
This isn't Adkins' first rodeo.
