About a 35-45 minute train ride. Parking is available but I don' t how much on weekends. Another option is a Metro North from Hastings On Hudson (where I live)- 5 miles south of Tappan Zee on Route 9. 30-40 minute train ride. In Hastings parking across from the train station is free on Saturdays and Sundays for residents and non-residents. All Metro North trains go into Grand Central Station (42nd and Lexington.) Train tickets can be purchased in machine at stations. The only problem with Hastings is that on weekends most of the trains are only once an hour.
