If he was in awe for Midnight Madness I'm sure yesterday was incredible for him. Hopefully he gives us a soft verbal before even going to UK.

There is no doubt we have given it our best shot

1. Midnight Madness visit meets Melo and other SU legends. See's the fans all worked up and giving him tons of love.

2. Takes in rivalry game where our big man Melo knocks down three outside shots and makes a huge impact on the game while he's in. SU crowd of over 33,000 going bonkers.

I would imagine he'll make his decision in a month or sooner. The fact we are still interested in his best friend can't hurt either. Don't think the two would ever play together here as they are different classes and by all reports NN most likely would be one & done.

IMO he's going to wait to see what Melo and Davis do, although I think both will go pro after this year. It's going to be a tough decision but if I give odds that if both of the above leave, then he goes to UK cause of the Paypal Cal fund-club ala Davis and other recruits.

The staff wouldn't be pulling out all the stops because they are going to lose out on him. I really think he comes to SU.

Jimmy B said, to paraphrase,"We've never had a recruit come to a game that we've had 30K and then not gotten him". IMO that is the most favorable thing I have heard or observed since Noel came out with his intent to reclassify to 2012.

Two things I believe we have in our favor compared to UK.

First the fact that he is a northeast kid and his family and friends would be able to see him person far easier at SU than if he was at UK. Secondly his game is better suited for the PF position than the C position. Whether Fab leaves or not we will have the bigs to allow him to play the PF. If goes to UK he will play the C a large amount of the time with only one other big on the team assuming Davis leaves.

I don't think Melo is a factor at all, IMHO. If Noel likes us better, he'll come here. Davis is definitely going pro. Anyone who thinks otherwise is smokin' crack. I believe that Noel signs with us and Muhammed goes to UK, FWIW.

I agree.
Not much more we could do.
Perhaps get him to the ULTIMATE RIVALRY game last Wednesday...but that was a mid-week game.
(More great BE scheduling).
And the way things unfolded, the UConn game probably was a better one to bring a big man recruit.
