The only game where we waited longer to ‘sit down’ was, ironically a game we won: the first Duke game, when we waited 4:42 in the first half and 43 seconds in the second half. We were down 0-6 in the first half but only 2-2 in the second half and came back to take the lead in both halves, so the slow starts were not really decisive. - Their offensive rebounding was supposed to be a factor but we had more offensive rebounds (11-9) and more second chance points (11-10), so that wasn’t why we lost. - We had a huge edge, (36-17), in points in unsettled situations, (second chance points + points after turnovers). That’s normally a strong stat: we were 12-5 when we won this stat coming in and only exceeded that margin against pre-conference schedule: Eastern Washington, Colgate, Northeastern, Arkansas State. But it wasn’t enough last night. - We finally got out and ran, 19 FBP to 8, but that wasn’t enough, either. - The bears won First Chance Points, (the opening sets) 24-54, -30.
