I will again be doing a report after each game this season and a summary report at the end of the non-conference season, the ACC season and the post season. Net Points (points + rebounds + assists + steals + blocks minus missed field goals and free throws, turnovers and personal fouls) Season net points and average per 40 minutes is in parenthesis. Comments - I’m surprised that Buffalo had more unforced turnovers than we did: 10-7. Our guys made a lot of bad or lazy passes and dribbled the ball off our feet a couple of times as well. Some of those must have bene counted as “steals”. - JB says “we can’t run” but Buffalo does. They had 16 fast break points to our 5 and are averaging 85 points per game. Yes, they had 48 rebounds to our 35. They are a shorter team. And 35 rebounds is not a small number5 fast break points off of 35 rebounds, 5 blocks and 6 steals is a very small number. - Here’s a shocker: We had 44 first chance points to their 28. It didn’t seem like it but our initial sets were far more productive than theirs were. But the had 7 more second chance points, 11 more fast break points and 10 more made free throws. - The stat that really jumps out at you is that Oshae Brissett was 16 for 16 from the line against this team last year. This year he was 0 for 3.
