The best was John Gillon’s 46 at NC State. Andrew’s O-Dog score of 42 was also second best to Gillon’s incredible 52 against the Wolfpack and his scoring efficiency was 35, second to Gillon’s 40 in that game. . - Gillon finally missed a free throw after 48 straight, (since January 28 – 5 weeks ago). We coulda won by 30! - I knew if we had a Taco Bell MVP. We’d win. Tech wasn’t scoring 70 on us. No tacos for you, Yellow Jackets! - It was the first time no one had played 40 minutes since the North Carolina game on January 16th, 13 games ago. - Nobody hit the offensive boards: the two teams combined to rebound 14 of their 64 misses. - We had more points off turnovers, 16-6 and fast break points, 14-8. In Atlanta it was 11-17 and 6-17. We not only forced more turnovers and took better advantage of them but we got back on defense to stop the fast breaks, which was huge. - Our POP of 55 second to –guess what- the NC Satte game, (59). But the gap between POP 55-21 = 34) , was the most of the season, beating out the Monmouth game, (42-12). - We were far more likely to draw fouls on two point shots and points in the apint and got more free throws out of the fouls that were called than the visitors did.
