[QUOTE="SWC75, post: 2864268, member: 289"] I will again be doing a report after each game this season and a summary report at the end of the non-conference season, the ACC season and the post season. Efficiency is total points divided by possessions) We scored 59 points in 70 possessions = 0.843 points/ possession They scored 73 points in 70 possessions = 1.043 points/possession It was a 140 possession game. Team Shooting Efficiency (Points minus missed field goals and free throws) We scored 59 points, missed 39 field goals and 5 missed free throws = net 15 They scored 73 points, missed 17 field goals and 10 missed free throws = net 46 (Points scored divided by potential points scored if we’d made every shot) We scored 59 on 24 two point attempts, 33 three point attempts and 21 free throw attempts = 59 of a possible 168 points = 35.1% of possible points scored. They scored 73 on 30 two point attempts, 12 three point attempts and 27 free throw attempts = 73 of a possible 123 points = 59.3% of possible points scored. Breakdown by Quarters (Points scored between the beginning of the game and the 10 minute mark of the first half, then halftime, then the 10 minute mark of the second half, the end of regulation and then overtime of there was one) 10-13, 16-14, 15-25, 18-21 Fouls (Two point shots and free throws attempted per times fouled.) We attempted 24 two point shots, attempted 21 free throws and were fouled 17 times = 1.41; 1.24 They attempted 30 two point shots, attempted 27 free throws and were fouled 19 times = 1.58; 1.42 We were more likely to get calls when attempting two point shots but they got more free throws out of it when we were fouled. Comments - The net points tell it all: Dolezaj had a decent game and Brissett a strong second half, (most of it after we’d fallen way behind). That was it. - Forcing 22 turnovers is great but not when you have 19 of your own, 15 on steals. - It’s not unusual for the losing team to have a higher percentage of baskets that were assisted but I didn’t expect it here- Tech got so many points off of steals and fast breaks. But we were so dependent on jumps shots and so many assists come from jump shots that we won this dubious stat anyway. - At 140 possessions, this was not a slow game- it was painful to watch but not slow. - Prediction: Any time we miss 39 field goals and they only miss 17, we will lose. - If every shot by both teams went in, we’d have won by 45 points: 168-123.
