Comments:

- Tyler Lydon has now played every minute of the least 8 games

- We’re all on Tyler Roberson’s case for the those missed free throws, (he probably should not have been on the court for the end of the game), Statistically, he actually had a pretty good game with 11NP, second on the team. 4 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists and a steal is pretty good output for him in 27 minutes.

- Tyus Battle had his third straight negative game: -2 vs. Clemson, (despite the winning shot), -2 vs. Pitt and -3 tonight. Get well soon!

- We had to wait 4:27 to score in the first half, our longest clap of the year, (the second longest was in the previous half- the second at Pittsburgh, which took 3:58.

- We’ve now been out-rebounded in 10 of 14 conference games. It was the seventh time we couldn’t get even 30% of our misses.

- The failure to capitalize on unsettle situations was key. We scored 19 points off of 25 offensive rebounds and turnovers. They scored 30 in 30.

- Hitting 58% of your two point shots against a team like Louisville is quite an achievement. It was the fifth game in a row we were 50% or above in this key stat. It was also the fourth straight game we’d led in points in the paint, against very good option.

- It was also the fourth straight game we had fewer POP: points outside the paint.

- For the second straight game and for the third time all season our opponent drew more foul calls on two point shots and points in the paint and went to the line more times per foul.

I still LOL at the Taco Bell MVP! Good stuff as always. I will keep it short as I have a lot to read and catch up on after returning from Belize, the thing that jumps out is obviously Tyler Roberson being #2 on the Net Points list. I'm predicting it may even make someone go ballastic and question your NP system. ;)

The points off of turnovers was another thing that irked me, and this team not really looking to run as much as I'd like it to in general. I find it a bit perplexing why they are relatively hesistant to do so. Nice write up, keep em coming.

It's pretty obvious that Louisville did not want to get beat by White, Lydon, and Gillon raining down threes and instead dared them to play inside. Unfortunately, the offense isn't well developed for post plays and they had a hard time getting the ball inside. Early in the 2nd half, SU focused more on the paint and Thompson was going to town. Unfortunately, the defense suffers with him there. Tough loss. White did miss a few wide open threes, but overall, the looks SU was getting weren't particularly good.
