Comments
- Notre Dame took more advantage of takeovers than we did: 16 points from 8 takeovers vs. 10/7 for us. Overall they got 29 points from 20 unsettled situations to 23 in 21 for us. I think having an inside scorer like Mooney helps.
- It doesn’t have to be a three pointer for these two jump shooting teams to launch the ball: both had 10 points from the Twilight Zone, (between the paint and the arc).
- The Irish had 10 more First Chance Points and the same number of Second Chance points. There’s no such thing as Third Chance points so how did we win? We beat down court on the fast break for 5 more points and drove to the basket enough to get 7 more free throw attempts, all of which we made.
