TEAM STATS

Possession

Rebounding
(Add each team’s offensive rebounds to their opponent’s defensive rebounds. Then figure the offensive rebounds as a percentage of that)
We rebounded 11 of our 32 misses = 34.4%
They rebounded 18 of their 42 misses = 42.9%

Effective Offensive Rebounding
(Divide second chance points by the offensive rebounds)
We got 9 points on 11 O-Rebs = 0.818 points/O-reb
They got 13 points on 18 O-Rebs = 0.722 points/O-reb

Unforced Turnovers
(Total turnovers – the other team’s steals = unforced turnovers)
We had 10 turnovers – 6 steals = 4 unforced
They had 11 turnovers – 7 steals = 4 unforced

Points per Takeaway
(Points off turnovers divided by the number of turnovers the other team had)
We had 16 points from 11 takeaways = 1.455 points/takeaway
They had 14 points from 10 takeaways = 1.400 points/takeaway

Unsettled Situations
(Effective offensive rebounding + Points per Takeaway: [Second Chance Point + Points off Turnovers] divided by [Offensive Rebounds + Opposition Turnovers)
We had 25 points in 22 unsettled situations = 1.136 points
They had 27 points in 28 unsettled situations = 0.964 points

Manufactured Possessions
(One teams rebounds + the other team’s turnovers)
We had 35 + 11 = 46

We assisted 11 of our 22 field goals = 50.0%
They assisted 14 of their 18 field goals = 77.8%

Team Offensive Possession Efficiency
(Possessions: Field goals attempted - offensive rebounds + turnovers + 47.5% of free throws attempted. Efficiency is total points divided by possessions)
We scored 65 points in 60 possessions = 1.083 points/ possession
They scored 56 points in 60 possessions = 0.933 points/possession

Team Shooting Efficiency

They scored 56 on 35 two point attempts, 22 three point attempts and 22 free throw attempts = 56 of a possible 158 points = 35.4% of possible points scored.

Breakdown by Quarters
(Points scored between the beginning of the game and the 10 minute mark of the first half, then halftime, then the 10 minute mark of the second half, the end of regulation and then overtime of there was one)

Fouls

(Two point shots and free throws attempted per times fouled.)
We attempted 31 two point shots, attempted 17 free throws and were fouled 17 times = 1.82; 1.00
They attempted 35 two point shots, attempted 22 free throws and were fouled 17 times = 2.06; 1.29
We were more likely to get calls when attempting two point shots but they got more free throws per foul.

Comments

- We got out- rebounded by a much smaller team. We’ve been out-rebounded 4 times in the last 5 games. And they are all smaller teams.

- It’s unusual for our starters to be matched in scoring, (54-54) but we finally found a team with less depth than we have, (11 bench points to 2)

- In the last four games we have attempted 107 two point shots and the opposition 106. Shooting fouls tend to come on two point shots and yet we’ve been to the line 54 times to 71 for the other guys. The fouls themselves have been relatively even, 59-61, but they are getting more free throws out of it.
