The last Syracuse team that fast broke, (is that a word?) like the old days was the 2011-12. I hoped to see a return to that next year. Did we need Bazley for that?  I think it has more to do with the point guard. The plodding frank Howard might not be the answer. But maybe with more depth we’ll see a different frank Howard and a different team.

The interesting thing is the average possessions per game: The early games were played at a much faster pace than the ACC games or the NCAA tournament. A slower pace seemed to help us early and late but there was little difference in the conference.

In regulation, we’ve won 79 quarters, lost 57 and tied 9. We’ve scored at least 15 points 93 times and held the opposition under that 69 times in 148 quarters. There wasn’t much difference in our play from quarter to quarter although we did get off to good starts in the NCAA games.
