The total was 54-32. They got 14 offensive rebounds to our 15 but that represented 26% of their misses while we got 45% of ours. - And we did more with our offensive rebounds, getting 15 second chance points on 15 O-rebs to their 4 on 14. Often, when the other team rebounds their own shot they find it easier to score because the defense isn’t settled. But in this game, it didn’t matter. - The same was true for turnovers. Each team had 10 but we got 12 points off of it to their 6. - SCS had 8 steals to our 5, which seems strange until you see how our big men handled the ball. Again, you’re as tall as where the ball is. - Both teams had 18 fast break points, which surprised me. - We had more bench points 42-34 but their bench out-scored their starters, who totaled only 25 points. Our starters played 99 minutes to 105 for theirs but out-scored them 59-25. - Jump shots produce assists, which is why we had 25 to 12 for them. We had 49 POP, (points outside the paint), to 21 for them. - We had 10 points from the Twilight Zone, (between the paint and the arc. We now have 42, meaning 21 made jump shots form there in four games. It gives us an extra dimension, makes us harder to defend and keeps defenders moving, which opens up other opportunities.
