Net Points
(points + rebounds + assists + steals + blocks minus missed field goals and free throws, turnovers and personal fouls) Season net points and average per 40 minutes is in parenthesis.
Notre Dame Oshae Brissett 23NP in 36 minutes

Duke Tyus Battle 20NP in 45 minutes

North Carolina Tyus Battle 20NP in 38 minutes
Wake Forest Elijah Hughes 23NP in 30 minutes
Virginia Paschal Chukwu 12NP in 35 minutes
Clemson Oshae Brissett 19NP in 40 minutes
Comment: 5 different players have led the team in Net Points: Brissett 5 times, Battle, Dolezaj had Hughes 4 times and Chukwu once. That could be a line-up if Hughes switches to the backcourt.

Offensive Dude of the Game, (O-Dog)
(Points plus assists)
Notre Dame Elijah Hughes 22 points + 0 assists = 22
Clemson Frank Howard 12 points + 4 assists = 16
Georgia Tech Oshae Brissett 15 points + 3 assists = 19
Duke Tyus Battle 32 points + 4 assists = 36
Pittsburgh Tyus Battle 22 points + 2 assists = 24
Miami Elijah Hughes 22 points + 3 assists = 25
Virginia Tech Oshae Brissett 16 points + 1 assists = 17
Boston College Tyus Battle 31 points + 6 assists = 37
Pittsburgh Oshae Brissett 18 points + 0 assists = 18
Florida State Tyus Battle 23 points + 2 assists = 25
Boston College Tyus Battle 21 points + 1 assists = 22
North Carolina State Frank Howard 21 points + 0 assists = 21
Louisville Elijah Hughes 18 points + 1 assists = 19
Duke Tyus Battle 16 points + 1 assists = 17
North Carolina Tyus Battle 29 points + 5 assists = 34
Wake Forest Tyus Battle 21 points + 0 assists = 21
Virginia Tyus Battle 11 points + 3 assists = 14
Clemson Oshae Brissett 15 points + 3 assists = 18
Comments: It’s been Battle 9 times, Brissett 4, Hughes 3 twice and Howard, (surprisingly) twice. We have options but Tyus is still the big weapon.

Shooting Efficiency
(Points minus field goal and free throw attempts)
Notre Dame Elijah Hughes 22 points - 8mfg – 0mft = +14
Clemson Marek Dolezaj 10 points - 2mfg – 0mft = +8
Georgia Tech Oshae Brissett 15 points - 6mfg – 1mft = +8
Duke Tyus Battle 32 points - 16mfg – 0mft = +16
Pittsburgh Tyus Battle 22 points - 8mfg – 3mft = +11 and
Buddy Boeheim 13 points - 1mfg – 1mft = +11
Miami Elijah Hughes 22 points - 5mfg – 0mft = +17 and
Virginia Tech Oshae Brissett 16 points – 7 mfg – 2 mft = +9
Boston College Tyus Battle 31 points – 6 mfg – 3 mft = +22
Pittsburgh Oshae Brissett 18 points – 3 mfg – 2 mft = +13
Florida State Tyus Battle 23 points – 7 mfg – 2 mft = +14
Boston College Tyus Battle 21 points – 5 mfg – 2 mft = +14
North Carolina State Frank Howard 21 points – 8 mfg – 0 mft = +13
Louisville Elijah Hughes 18 points – 8 mfg – 1 mft = +9
and Buddy Boeheim 14 – 5 – 0 = +9
Duke Marek Dolezaj 10 points – 3 mfg – 0 mft = +7
North Carolina Tyus Battle 29 points – 10 mfg – 3 mft = +16
Wake Forest Tyus Battle 21 points – 4 mfg – 0 mft = +17
Virginia Elijah Hughes 11 points – 3 mfg – 0 mft = +8
Clemson Oshae Brissett 15 points – 3 mfg – 0 mft = +12
Comments: Again, it’s Battle with 7 wins, Brissett and Hughes 4 times, Dolezaj twice, Boeheim and Howard once each.

Scoring Efficiency
(Percentage of points scored divided by points they would have scored if they made every shot minimum 10 possible points )
Notre Dame Elijah Hughes 22 of 45 possible points = 48.9%
Clemson Frank Howard 12 of 25 possible points = 48.0%
Georgia Tech Oshae Brissett 15 of 32 possible points = 46.9%
Duke Paschal Chukwu 10 of 18 possible points = 55.6%
Pittsburgh Buddy Boeheim 13 of 17 possible points = 76.5%
Miami Elijah Hughes 22 of 35 possible points = 62.9%
Virginia Tech Oshae Brissett 16 of 33 possible points = 45.7%
Boston College Tyus Battle 31 of 50 possible points = 62.0%
Pittsburgh Paschal Chukwu 10 of 12 possible points = 83.3%
Florida State Tyus Battle 23 of 40 possible points = 57.5%
Boston College Buddy Boeheim 16 of 23 possible points = 69.6%
North Carolina State Marek Dolezaj 10 of 14 possible points = 71.4%
Louisville Buddy Boeheim 14 of 29 possible points = 48.3%
Duke Marek Dolezaj 10 of 17 possible points = 58.8%
North Carolina Buddy Boeheim 8 of 14 possible points = 57.1%
Wake Forest Tyus Battle 21 of 31 possible points = 67.7%
Virginia Elijah Hughes 11 of 20 possible points = 55.5%
Clemson Oshae Brissett 15 of 21 possible points = 71.4%
Comments: This was more balanced as it’s a percentage, which allows Chukwu and Dolezaj to win twice. Battle and Brissett have 3. But the winner is Buddy Boeheim with 4, (thanks to those three pointers). Frank Howard won once. That’s 7 different guys.

Clemson 1st Half- Oshae Brissett lay-up 2:09 in 2nd Half- Frank Howard trey 1:03 in
Comments: Birssett sat us down 10 times, Howard and Hughes 8 each, battle only 6, Chukwu and Sidibe once each. Dolezaj and Boeheim never did because they didn’t start. Howard had a couple occasions when the only shot he hit in a half sat us down. It’s interesting that Battle only sat us down 6 times. It may be defensive attention or that Tyus doesn’t get going until the going gets tough.

Wake Forest Buddy Boeheim with a trey with 4:07 left.
Virginia No tacos for us!
Clemson No tacos for us!
Comments: “No tacos for us!” wins with 11. We have a low-cal offense. It’s been a slog offensively in the conference, except when we were playing Duke and UNC, who have so much firepower that they don’t care if you score 70 points: they’ll get 85 or 90. We’ll always, (or almost always) get stuck on a number while the other team keeps going. FWIW, Frnak Howard is our MVP with three tacos. Battle has 2 and Boeheim 1.
