We attempted 34 two point shots, scored 24 points in the paint, attempted 15 free throws and were fouled 15 times = 2.3, 1.6, 1.0 They attempted 36 two point shots, scored 28 points in the paint, attempted 15 free throws and were fouled 15 times = 2.4, 1.9, 1.1 Comments: - I’ve been computing offensive efficiency since the late 200’s and this is the first game I’ve ever seen where the losing team averaged more points per possession than the winners. Of course the possession are an approximation using the formula and both points and possessions were off by just one, with the possessions rounded off. - All of our players wound up with positive net points for the first time in 6 games. - We out-rebounded a team that had collared 86 of the 129 rebounds in the first two games against us. - They were +5 in points off turnovers in a game they won by a single point and scored more points per turnover. We didn’t get back as well as they did. - We remain 13-0 in games where out-shot the other team inside the arc and are now 6-13 in games where we did not. We out-shot them from three and from the line but it wasn’t enough. - We get out-scored from the bench regularly but by an average of 8 points on the season. We out-scored Pitt from the bench in the second game and NC State, too. The last three games we’ve been out-scored from the bench by a whopping 42-144. [/QUOTE]
